WSA Baildon 60
Observation well WSA Baildon 60 was constructed to a total depth of 13.05 metres in 1974 to observe groundwater level fluctuations in a surficial aquifer in an area proposed for effluent irrigation, which began in 1982. The well is situated between two flood irrigated fields.
The minimum recorded water level of 583 metres in WSA Baildon 60 occurred in 1982. Following that the well responded to the onset of irrigation in 1984 and record high levels of 588.5 metres occurrred in 2002 and 2003.
The groundwater is of calcium/magnesium-bicarbonate type and has a sum of ions concentration of approximately 470 mg/L.
