Since September 2015, the Water Security Agency has been implementing the Agricultural Water Management Strategy.

The vision of the strategy is responsible agricultural water management supporting a resilient & thriving Saskatchewan. Responsible drainage allows landowners to manage water while addressing the impacts on neighbours and the environment.

Request for Assistance for Agricultural Drainage

Agricultural Water Management Fund

Funding to support responsible drainage by assisting producers or local government in achieving approvals. There are three streams of funding available, including on-farm qualified persons and mediation services support, technical design solutions support, and mitigation and rehabilitation support.

Stewardship Policy was developed. With input from engagement and learning from our demonstration and research projects, WSA is developing a policy that will support our producers, allowing for economic growth, while protecting our environment.

Workshops for Agricultural Producers
