Watershed Planning

The Province of Saskatchewan initiated the watershed planning process in 2003 and continued developing Source Water Protection Plans until 2014. Source Water Protection Plans contain key actions, recommendations and objectives to protect source water within the specified watershed area for which they are created. The Water Security Agency remains committed to supporting source water protection throughout the province through our partnership with the Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds (SAW). Click here for more information about SAW and their current programs and projects.

Through the dedication of local Watershed Advisory Committees and Technical Committee members, the following watershed and aquifer source water protection plans were completed. Click on the image to open the report.
