WSA Services Expected To Be Delayed During Labour Disruption

The Water Security Agency (WSA) is informing the public of potential delays and disruptions to non-essential services like permits, approvals and licenses during the current labour disruption.

WSA’s unionized staff at Unifor Local 820 entered into a legal strike position on September 20, 2019 and have provided a 48-hour strike notice, along with a public announcement of job action beginning on September 30, 2019.

During this strike action, WSA management staff, supported by in-scope staff covered by an essential services agreement, will be providing essential services such as ensuring safe drinking water, waste water operations and operation of the provincial dam system. All other services may be impacted.
