Water Security Agency reaches agreement with Unifor Local 820

A new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) has been reached between the Water Security Agency and Unifor Local 820.

“We’re pleased to see Water Security Agency employees ratify and benefit from an agreement reached at the bargaining table,” said David Marit, Minister responsible for the Water Security Agency.

The new three-year CBA was ratified by Unifor Local 820 on May 7 2024, and is retroactive to January 1, 2024, with a general wage increase of 3% in 2024, 3% in 2025, and 2% in 2026. 

“We thank both parties for their willingness to reach an agreement, and we look forward to working together in the future,” said Shawn Jaques, Water Security Agency President and CEO.
